Lorena Nogal Navarro

LORENA NOGAL. Born in Barcelona in 1984.
Lorena Noguera trained as a dancer at the Theatre Institute of Barcelona, where she graduated in 2005, and at the IT Dansa company, where she works with internationally renowned choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Jirí Kilyán, Stijn Celis and Nacho Duato among others.

For more than 10 years she has been an active part of the artistic team of La Veronal, working with Marcos Morau as an assistant choreographer and dancer, working both in the company’s own choreographies and in the external creations: The Royal Danish Ballet, Beijing dance Teather, Göteborgsoperans danskompani, National dance partner Wales, National Dance Company, Scapino Ballet, Carte Blanche, Norrdans, Skanes Dansteater …

She has also worked with other well-known companies such as Gelabert-Azzopardi, Lanònima imperial and Plan B dance company. In addition, as a choreographer she has created her own works with which she has won prizes in national choreographic competitions. Among the various recognitions she has received, she was awarded as best female performer at the 2016 Critics Awards of Catalonia.

In 2018, together with several classmates from the Theatre Institute, she launched the project called HOTEL colectivo escénico, a new dance company born with the will to build crosses that allow inhabiting the imaginary and the world of other artists. To do this, they invite artists from different disciplines to create and direct them. The line-up premiered in June 2018 with two short pieces at the Sala Hiroshima. In 2018 she created his latest piece for IT Dansa, The Prom. Piece that is currently on tour.
