LICEO COREUTICO

DAF – Dance Arts Faculty, is one of the most majorly advanced educational Training Centers for classical and contemporary dance in the international context. In October 2020, DAF obtained the recognition of Liceo Coreutico Paritario, a course of study able to ensure students a double preparation: high school and professional; an innovative “contamination” experience that wants to make dance an institutional discipline of educational and cultural value.

The profound artistic vocation and the duty to raise awareness on art that a high school must consider, finds in the DAF Center a house functional and ready to interpret the psychological and artistic dynamics of the student. An absolutely innovative scenario, where the concept of Liceo Coreutico can in fact coexist in a cultural ecosystem that for 12 years has redesigned the boundaries and models of creative development linked to the training of the young dancer in Italy. The objective of the DAF project here is to offer students, in line with their interest and attitude in the artistic field, a solid high school education, aimed at the technical-practical learning of dance, and the study of its role in history and culture.

The institute systematically creates performances, workshops, choreographic workshops and cross-cultural projects directly and indirectly linked to the world of dance available to the public. The students of DAF – Dance Arts Faculty Liceo Coreutico become part of a cultural crossroads of absolute avant-garde in the international scene, where they can cultivate interests, observe, and have the right time for the formation of a critical mind and elaboration of the contemporary process.

In addition to the normal high school lesson plan; workshops, choreographic laboratories, and specific dedicated projects are made available to students. These propose a targeted integration with the study program of the professional project. DAF offers Masterclasses with guest choreographers from the most important international realities, specifically dedicated creations of choreographic material to supplement the study plan, and, above all, the possibility to attend or be part of “next door”, performances in open rehearsals of professional companies regularly scheduled throughout the season.
